History of FSSC Journal

In 2006 the Russian Association for Fuzzy Systems and Soft Computing (RANSMV) launched a new scientific journal that was devoted entirely to the problems indicated in the title of the association. Despite the rich history of scientific research in this field in Russia there has not been a special journal on the subject. Thus decision of RANSMV was aimed to solve this problem.

The final decision concerning opening of the journal was made as a result of communications carried out by delegates of RANSMV on the jubilee conference BISCSE 2005 (University of California, Berkeley, USA) with a number of foreign experts and with direct approval of the idea by prof. Zadeh, who kindly agreed to be its honorary editor.

International editorial board of "Fuzzy Systems and Soft Computing" was gathered during 2006 and the first issue of the journal was initially printed the same year. Well-known russian and foreign scientists with excellent excperience in the subject agreed to enter the editorial board..

General Information

ISSN: 1819-4362.
Frequency: semiannual

Journal's Policy, Scope and Topics

The main purpose of the journal "Fuzzy Systems and Soft Computing" is contribution to the development of theoretical research in the field of fuzzy systems as well as promotion of technologies based on soft computing.

Along with theoretical results in these areas the application of emerging techniques and technologies to economic, administrative and social problems is of great interest to the journal.

Both domestic and foreign experts from relevant scientific fields are involved in reviewing process.

1.Possibility theory, fuzzy sets and related formalisms for modeling uncertainty (including hybrid type).
2. Possibilistic probabilistic models and methods of optimization and decision-making.
3. Approximate reasoning.
4. Fuzzy control.
5. Evolutionary modeling and genetic algorithms.
6. Systems with chaotic dynamics.
7. Soft computing technologies.
8. Intelligent information systems with fuzzy logic.

Stated list of journal's topics does not limit the choice of authors. Interesting, relevant and quality materials are always welcome.

Guide

Submission Guidelines for Authors

Authors are requested to submit their research article (Note: same work has not been published or not under consideration for publication elsewhere) written in good English in MS-Word format to E-mail: editor.fuzzyssc@gmail.com All papers will be refereed. If necessary, the author(s) would be asked to revise the manuscript according to the referee's suggestions. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make reasonable modifications in wording. If the paper is accepted. References should be listed in order of citation at the end of the paper. It is strongly recommended that authors follow the style of the articles published in the former Fuzzy Systems and Soft Computing (FSSC).

Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to transfer copyright and the authors will be required to pay article publication fee, but the publication charge will be waived if all the authors are economically weeker section or from the developing counties.
